In her private practice Connect for Kids+, Amanda assisted hundreds of children and adolescents develop the skills they need to ‘get along with others’ through group therapy sessions. Prior to establishing Connect for Kids+ in 2006, Amanda worked in child and adolescent mental health services for over 12 years. In addition to working with children and their families, Amanda has been involved in providing postgraduate training for the school of Psychiatry and Professional Development within the Departments of Health and Education and Speech Pathology Australia. Amanda has also been involved in Western Australian state policy development for the management of children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Connect at York is an extension of Amanda’s private practice, where she can now offer services to children, adolescents and adults who are seeking individualised support for social interactional skills.
